The Order of Secular Franciscans (OFS) are Catholic lay men and women, married and single, at least 18 years of age, who are called to embrace their baptismal call by following the Gospel through the life and teachings of St. Francis of Assisi.
The OFS is more than a group, rather it is a religious Order established by St. Francis to serve the Church and the people of God. It is a vocation to follow the Gospel in everyday life at home, at work, and with friends & family…living in simplicity and service.
The OFS follow a Rule of Life and participation in the local fraternity. By forming a community with other Secular Franciscans, they evangelize the communion of the Church and the communion of all of God’s Creation.
The Saint David Fraternity meets and participates at Capuchin Retreat Center, in accompaniment with the Capuchin Friars of the St. Joseph Province.
If you are searching for a way to renew your baptismal commitment, deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ, or participate in community with the Franciscan charism, reach out to the Retreat Center for contact information.
