Women’s Weekend Retreat: #16

Sometimes prayer is a struggle. When the disciples of Jesus had struggles in their prayer life, they plainly asked Jesus, “Lord, teach us to pray” (Lk 11:1). And Jesus gave them simple, yet incredibly profound words to pray to God. Thus, the Lord’s Prayer becomes the model and pattern for all our prayers AND for our entire spiritual life. But how often do we mindfully utter the words of this prayer? How often do we truly ponder and explore the spiritual depths of this prayer?

Having discerned with the help of the Holy Spirit, the Capuchin Retreat Center offers “Living the Lord’s Prayer” as the theme for this year. The retreat conferences inspired by the Scriptural passages, Franciscan Capuchin Tradition, and the reflections of Pope Francis, offer a wonderful opportunity to reflect upon the words and spirituality of the Lord’s Prayer so that we dare not only to PRAY, but also truly dare to LIVE within this prayer.

Please join us at Capuchin Retreat so that we can pray with Jesus, like Jesus, and rediscover the riches of being God’s beloved children.

Couple’s Retreat Weekend: “I will be with you always”

On this weekend we invite you to let go – let God. God is here right now and present. What helps us to hope and know that God is with us and is present in every age and moment? In the moments of uncertainty, we are called to trust the Lord. The Lord is guiding us through every trial. Truly putting our trust in God, and trusting that God is with you, gives you a freedom to let go and place your life in God’s hand.

With the words of Jesus “Come to me all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest” Mathew 11:28. We invite you all to enjoy the peace, freedom, and rest that Jesus offers.

All retreats are silent retreats which begin on Friday night with an orientation at 7:30 pm and finish with the noontime meal on Sunday. The cost of the weekend is $225, which includes a $50 non-refundable deposit to confirm your registration. Please register with a captain for the weekend in which you are interested.
