A Gouda Evening is an annual summer fundraiser that began in June 2022 to help support and maintain our beautiful retreat center that serves as a place of spirituality and rejuvenation in the faith of hundreds each year. Our inaugural event featured an outdoor picnic with a wine and cheese theme. Live, strolling accordion music was provided by Joe Recchia and Mike Zawojski from the Michigan Accordion Society along with performances by Ruth Myers, Sue Ayoub, and Naim Edwards playing the harp, flute, and saxophone. Other event features included guided tours of the property and facilities, live raffle drawings, and a statue unveiling in the labyrinth.
Please save the date for Capuchin Retreat Center’s 4th Annual “A Gouda Evening” event, returning this year on Sunday, June 8 from 3:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Join the friars for another beautiful evening as we once again enjoy dinner, wine, cheese, live music, and more on the beautiful grounds of our retreat center. We’re looking forward to the return of this wonderful event that helps support the Capuchin Retreat Center’s ministry!
