The theme of the weekend retreats this year is “A Lifetime of Blessedness – Retreats on the Beatitudes.” In our life and world, where the happiness or blessedness of a person is measured by the material wealth and social status acquired, the beatitudes (5:3-12) describe certain qualities and experiences of those who are considered blessed or happy in God’s eyes.
While the qualities and experiences of mourning, being poor in spirit, meek, and persecuted mentioned in the Beatitudes do not seem like blessedness or happiness at the outset, a deeper reflection on them reveals a blessed and happy way of life Jesus intends for those who follow him.
Whatever stage or situation of life you might be in right now, you will find peace on our holy grounds, closeness with God in the prayer services, reconciliation in the sacraments, refreshment for your spirit in the talks, rest for your soul, and fraternal hospitality from the Capuchin brothers when you are here on a retreat.
Join us for one of the weekend retreats at the Capuchin Retreat Center this year to prayerfully meditate on the beatitudes, learn more about, and embrace the blessed, joy-filled, and peace-filled way of life that Jesus has promised for those who believe in Him.
See you at the Capuchin Retreat Center soon! God bless you.
The suggested donation for a weekend retreat is $280.00
This last weekend of the retreat season is for anyone who missed the opportunity to make a retreat this year.
