Lenten Series 2026 – Day 3

Join us for the first day of the Lenten Series 2026 at the Capuchin Retreat Center on the theme, “THE HUMAN AND DIVINE LOVE OF THE HEART OF JESUS CHRIST,” which is the title of the Encyclical letter of Pope Francis from 2024. The 5 days of the Lenten series will offer a reflection on each of the chapters of the encyclical that teach us that devotion to the heart of Jesus can open our own hearts to renewed ways we can love God and our neighbor. Along with your Lenten practices of Prayer, Penance, and Charity, join us to be nourished by the deep spiritual insights of this Encyclical.

Mar 4 – CHAPTER TWO – ACTIONS AND WORDS OF LOVE – Br. Nick Blattner

Mar 11 – CHAPTER THREE -THIS IS THE HEART THAT HAS LOVED SO GREATLY – Br. Javier Rodriguez

Mar 18 – CHAPTER FOUR – A LOVE THAT GIVES ITSELF AS DRINK – Br. Jose Vera

Mar 25 – CHAPTER FIVE – LOVE FOR LOVE – Br. Kennedy Njau

5.30 pm – Soup, salad, and bread (donated from the Soup Kitchen)

6.00 pm – Presentation on the theme

6.40 pm – Group sharing

6.50 pm – Closure

7.00 pm – Mass
