Join us to reflect on the beauty and depth of the Stabat Mater Speciosa, a 15th-century hymn, which offers a rare and joyful meditation on the Blessed Virgin Mary’s emotions following the birth of Christ. It contrasts the sorrow of the Stabat Mater Dolorosa with an exultant celebration of the Nativity. We will explore the origins of this remarkable hymn, reflecting on its unique portrayal of maternal joy and its place within the tradition of Marian devotion.
